Puppy Update!
Pip’s puppies are twelve days old today. I can see that their eyes are getting ready to open this week, maybe a few more days and little eyes will start to peer out. Soon they will hear my lovely voice as well 😉
Pip so lovingly cares for her babies, nursing and cleaning and keeping them tucked in for warmth. She even keeps Winnie’s face licked clean. Winnie is due to have her puppies anytime now, so Pip and Winnie have become great mama buddies!

Merry Christmas!
It has been a busier week here at Berkshire Hills than anticipated.
Christmas eve day started for Kipling, Mabel and I with a hike along with friends and 13 other Berkshire Hills dogs! What a beautiful walk.
As soon as the hike was over I ran Cadence over to Rhode Island for her date with Ocean State’s Buster. It was love at first sight and what a beautiful pair they make! I love Buster’s red spots and solid little body. He was a real gentleman, too. We are expecting puppies 9 weeks from now, I am so excited! By time we got there the sun was setting so I could only get this blurry photo.
Christmas morning brought lots of smiles from the dogs (the humans, too!) Looks like Santa brought the muppets their favorite toys again this year!
Off to Grandmothers we go for a Christmas breakfast. Pippi put on her winter coat, but wasn’t terribly excited to leave the couch. Growing puppies is hard work! But she was a good sport and trotted into Grandma’s house.
Finally she got to go back to her couch and warm up. Though, I am beginning to wonder if  we may get another Christmas surprise today!
I am making a Christmas roast and if you remember last Easter, as soon as I put the roast in the oven and my guests started to arrive Pearl started delivering her puppies! Please Pip, not today!

As we approach this Christmas I began thinking back to the Christmases I have had over the years with my loved ones…here are a few photos of Christmas at Berkshire Hills beginning with Zoe and my first Christmas with Willa dressed here as a reindeer in 2004!

With a belly full of puppies, Pip, myself and the rest of the Berkshire Hills devoted and wonderful puppy buddies celebrated a terrific year of puppies!
Today was our holiday “office party” ( I always wanted to go to those :))There was lots of love and cheers and great food!
Thank you my beloved puppy buddies, you give the Berkshire Hills puppies that special touch and socialization that makes the transition to their new homes go much more smoothly!

Heading home for the Holidays! Louisa’s puppies (the last of the trio of litters) are preparing to head to their new homes just in time for the holidays! Â It has been one very busy, but fun season here at Berkshire Hills.
Here comes…Dasher and Oliver, Sadie and Bruin (cream girl) and…Mr. Lustgarten!
A happy thanksgiving to all of my wonderful friends and doodles….hoping you are now cozy on your couch after a big turkey dinner!
The medical field is catching up with what we have always known….Australian Labradoodles are good for the soul!

This Week at Berkshire Hills
This past weekend has been full of activity here at Berkshire Hills. Our puppy visits are going well. Many families have come by for their hour long visit in the puppy play room to meet the puppies and ask questions.
Eleanor and Paloma’s 6 week old babies are full of energy, running around grabbing toys and stopping for kisses (and nips with their new teeth! Though they are responding really well with the yip sound that tells them that it hurts us) Â But at this age they crash as hard as they play. Up for 30 minutes, down for 30 minutes…With the beautiful weather this weekend the puppies also went out into their outdoors playground, which they were delighted about.
The other great news is that Winnie and Rex honey mooned this weekend!
Rex vacationed at Berkshire Hills all weekend and we all got to know and love him! Such an adaptable and easy going boy. We cannot wait to see their little muppets in two months from now!

Puppy Update! Â Eleanor and Paloma’s 6 week olds
At 6 and a half weeks old the puppies are noticeably more playful and friendly.
They are climbing up into our laps, mischievously grabbing at our socks, chasing each other with toys in their mouths…love those puppy antics!
